JDP :: Photo Shoot

This past Saturday I had a little photo shoot with my sister, Jessica. I'm usually the one to take the pictures, even of myself. I would just the cameras timer and then snap away. There's nothing like having someone else take your picture because they can get the different angles. Every time we had plans of taking pictures, the weather didn't agree with us. Finally, it was a great windy/sunny day and the pictures turned out great! We took over 200 pictures -WOW- I love them all but here are the ones that are my favorites! Take a look!

Btw, yes I am really that white! lol

 Here are two pictures that are some fun 'extras'

Remembering 9/11

It's saddening to think about all the lives that were lost. All the men and woman who so bravely risked their lives trying to save people from the towers and surrounding the towers. Also, the brave men and women who died on flight 93 trying fight back for their lives. I can't even begin to imagine how the families feel, losing one person or multiple people to this tragic event. I can't imagine how terrified the people in the buildings and planes must have felt knowing they weren't going to make it out alive. I've read such negativity about the people who chose to jump to their deaths from the towers instead of being crushed or burned. I've seen YouTube videos of some a few of the families who their loved ones are among those jumpers. This one man in particular said he couldn't locate his wife who worked one of the towers. He started looking through photographs that had been taken of some of the people who jumped. He remembered what she wore which was a blue sleeveless top with cream colored pants. He came across a few photos of a woman matching that same description. He said he knew it was her. He said that he was somewhat relieved and at peace knowing what happened to her and knowing that she chose to end her life that way instead of burning or being crushed. When the attacks happened I was 12 and was at school in the classroom watching it on tv. I was scared but for some reason just couldn't comprehend what was going on..the full detail of it. I obviously later figured out what was going on and so forth. I've seen video and pictures of the new memorial waterfalls they built where the towers stood. It's absolutely breathtaking so I can imagine that it's even more breathtaking yet saddening to see it in person.

Remembering all the lives that were lost and all the heroes who lost their lives trying to save others.

Remembering all the heroes who are still alive and all the families who lost love ones and every person who was affected by this tragedy.

You are all in my prayers and will never be forgotten! May god be with you!
