Nicholas Sparks

Nicholas Sparks is my favorite author. Every single book he has ever written, which is 17, has me where I just can't put it down. I had the absolute pleasure of hearing him speak this past Thursday. Our local college, ULM 'University of Louisiana at Monroe' got him to come to our town and speak. I freaked out when I heard he was coming. The speaking took place around 7pm. He said he gets over 500 request a year asking him to come speak and he only picks out 30 places to do speeches. We were one of those lucky 30! I learned so much about him, his thinking processes, and his books. I learned his first book that was published was "The Notebook". He said that book is inspired by his wife's grandparents. His second book, "Message in a Bottle" is inspired by his father after his mothers passing. His mother and father were riding horses on the beach and she ended up falling off, hitting her head, and dying. His father was mourned his late wife for 7 years. He called his son, Nicholas Sparks, and told him he was engaged. 3 days later, he fell asleep at the wheel, wrecked, and died. His third book, "A Walk to Remember" is inspired by his younger sister who as in the book passed away. His fourth book, "The Rescue" is inspired by his son. His son who has Auditory Processing Disorder. He was only given a certain time limit so those were the only books he covered more deeply. It was amazing to see him. Who can actually say they got to see their favorite book author? I certainly can and I will never forget it! I was so happy! No lie, I could have cried because of how happy I was! Definitely a night to remember forever!

Pinterest Lovin'

I will admit that I am a Pinterest-holic. I go on Pinterest at least once a day, if not more. My 'Style' board is my favorite. Every single pin I put on that board is exactly how my style is;well actually it's more like how my style would be if I could afford all those clothes. Ha! I'm starting to add on to my wardrobe; slowly but surely I will be dressing up to the nines just like my style pins. My style is all over the place.
